The Ponchatoula, Louisiana product earned second team All-American honors in the hammer throw during the 2015 outdoor season. The Ponchatoula High grad finished 14th at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track Championships June 13 in Eugene, Oregon throwing 212 feet, six inches (64.78m).

Kinchen set a personal best at the 2015 Southland Conference Outdoor Championships in Hammond, Louisiana claiming the hammer throw title with a mark 222-2 (67.72m).
