Lopez, the nation's leader in saves (20), posted a 2-1 record and 0.61 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched. THe junior from New Iberia, Louisiana walked just five and struck out 42. He holds both the Southeastern and Southland Conference single-season and career saves (30) records. After the regular season, he was named the Southland relief pitcher of the year and the NCBWA Stopper of the Year.
