Southeastern Louisiana pitcher Andro Cutura was named to the 2012 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American team by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.

Cutura was named the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year after compiling a 6-1 record and a 3.30 ERA. He struck out 38 and walked just 16 in 76.1 innings of work while holding opponents to a .244 batting average.

The right-hander from Pearl River, La., was undefeated (5-0) in conference play and won his final six decisions. He earned his first collegiate win in a start against then No. 21-ranked Mississippi State.
