In 2007, Turner converted 17 of 20 field goals during the season with a string of 13 straight made attempts and finished second among FCS kickers in field goals per game (1.89). He also made 28-of-29 extra point attempts, including a school-record 10 in a win over Division II Kentucky Wesleyan. Turner scored 79 points in nine games to lead all SLC kickers and set a Southeastern and Southland Conference record with six field goals against Texas State. He made three field goals against Sam Houston State and finished 10-of-12 from beyond 30 yards with his longest made kick - 47 yards -at Texas State.
