Bowie was a two-time NABC All-District 6, All-Louisiana and All-TAAC selection for the Lion basketball team. On the way to being named the 1995-96 SLU Male Athlete of the Year, he averaged 21.9 points per game – the second-highest single-season scoring average in program history – and helped SLU to the TAAC West Division title. His 590 points scored in his senior season are still a school record and his career scoring average of 19.6 is the second-highest in program history. Bowie scored 39 points versus Central Florida on Jan. 13, 1996, which is also the second-most ever by a Lion.
