Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame
In 12 seasons at the helm of the Lions program, Greg Marten recorded a 348-315 record and finished his career with the most wins by a coach in any sport in Southeastern history. Marten led the Lions to NCAA Regional appearances in 1992 and 1994. He posted seven winning seasons and guided the Lions to a school-record 38 wins in 1992 and 1993. He was also a two-time Trans America Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Marten also played for the Lions from 1972-75, leading the team with a .336 batting average and 38 hits as a freshman. He was captain of the 1975 World Series team that finished third in the nation.
