Chevallier, a native of Brest, France, is the third Southeastern golfer to be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame, joining Andy Smith (2010) and Martin du Toit (2007). Chevallier played for the Lions from 1997-2001, helping SLU to Southland Conference championships in 1998 and 2000.

During his career, he was a three-time All-Southland Conference selection and posted a 73.22 stroke average – the third-lowest in school history. He was named the 2000 Southland Conference Golfer of the Year, the 2000 LSWA Co-Golfer of the Year and was named the 1999-00 Southeastern Male Athlete of the Year.

Ranked as high as 52nd in the national GolfStat rankings, Chevallier was the 1998 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year and was part of a Southeastern squad that finished 23rd nationally at the 1998 NCAA Championships.
