Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics

Dr. Robert Brown was a mathematics professor at Southeastern for many years, also serving as department head. During that time, he chaired the university's Athletic Committee and was essential to the hiring of many of the university's head coaches. He served on several NCAA committees and also was a key figure in the formation of the Gulf South Conference of which Southeastern was a charger member.
