Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame
Andy Smith, a four-year letterwinner in golf for head coach Tim Baldwin, became the second Division I Golf All-American in school history when he was named to the 2002 PING All-America team. The native of England was a first-team All-Southland Conference selection and was named the Louisiana Golfer of the Year by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
Smith, a three-time All-Southland Conference performer, participated as an individual at the 2002 NCAA East Regional and was a member of the Lions’ 2000 Southland Conference championship team. He earned a national ranking of 34th in the 2001-02 season, which is the second-best mark in school history.
Smith posted a career scoring average of 74.05 which is currently 10th best in school history while his 112 career rounds played is eighth.
