Jameson Fisher was a three-time All-Southland Conference player during his time with the Lions, which spanned from 2013-16. In his final season, the consensus All-American led Division I with a .558 on-base percentage, setting single-season school records for on-base percentage, batting average (.424) and walks (54). The 2015-16 Southeastern Athlete of the Year was named Southland Player of the Year, Louisiana Hitter of the Year, Southland Student-Athlete of the Year and CoSIDA Academic All-American. Following his time as a Lion, he was drafted in the fourth round of the MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. The school’s career leader for batting average (.375), on-base percentage (.483) and sacrifice flies (15), he helped the Lions to NCAA Tournament berths in 2014 and 2016.
