Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame
Bond, who joined the Southeastern faculty in 1967 and retired in 2008, served as the first University Faculty Athletic Representative for nearly 20 years, and served as the Faculty Athletic Committee Chair for more than 20 years.
He played an instrumental role as the Steering Committee chair in Southeastern’s first two cycles of NCAA certification and served on numerous committees of both the Trans America Athletic Conference (now the Atlantic Sun) and the Southland Conference.
As a member of the Southland Conference Advisory Council, Bond served on the Executive Committee for six years, serving as a member of the finance committee, vice-president of the advisory council and finally a two year term as president of the advisory council.
