Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame
Charles Manley was a three-year letterwinner for the Lions in the early 1940's. His greatest sporting accomplishments came after his days in the Green and Gold were done becoming one of the most successful head coaches in Alabama High School history, including guiding his team to a state championship in 1972. During his 25 years at Colbert County High School, he won the state Coach of the Year award multiple times and had the high school's stadium named after him. Manley was elected as a member of the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1991 and to the Colbert County Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
