HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana softball team will return to action on Tuesday, facing Grambling at 2 p.m. at the GSU Softball Field.
The Lady Lions (7-26) and host Tigers (8-14) were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader, but that has been changed to a single contest. There will be no live stats available for Tuesday's game, however fans can follow the action via Twitter at

Southeastern snapped a seven-game losing streak on Saturday, blanking Southland Conference leader McNeese State, 4-0, at North Oak Park. Junior pitcher
Kati Morse (2-3, 3.17 ERA) went the distance in the circle, scattering six hits for her second complete game shutout of the year. Junior outfielder
Katie Doyle was 3-for-3 at the plate, as she and sophomore second baseman
Megan McCollum each drove in runs.
The Lady Lions are hitting .231 as a team with McCollum leading the way with a .317 batting average. Junior outfielder

Kelsey Nichols (.241) and senior third baseman
Trish Bliss (.227) round out the top five hitters for Southeastern.

Meghan Gomez leads the Southland Conference with eight home runs. Gomez is followed on the team by Van Hook (three) and sophomore shortstop
Kayla Elswick (two), while McCollum, Nichols, senior third baseman
Lauren Coniglio and sophomore first baseman
Tori Sheppard with one home run each. Gomez also leads the team with 19 RBI, followed by Elswick and McCollum with 10 apiece.
Duhe has scored a team-high 14 runs and is joined in double figures by Gomez (12) and Van Hook (10). Bliss leads the team with six doubles, while McCollum, VZan Hook, Nichols and senior outfielder
Katie Matthews following with five each. Van Hook has drawn a team-high 17 walks, while Coniglio (14), Matthews (13) and Gomez (10) also drawing double-digit free passes.

Southeastern will be facing a Grambling team that is hitting .262 as a team. Junior Jassitte Richardson leads GSU with a .400 batting average, followed by senior Raven Turner (.326) and sophomore Angela Perez (.325). Turner has the only home run by a Lady Tiger this season, while senior Latrice Wood leads the team with 14 RBI.
Five pitchers have combined for Grambling's 9.09 team earned run average. Perez (6-11, 7.68 ERA) has handled the majority of the work in the circle for GSU.
Southeastern has never lost versus Grambling, coming in with an 11-0 all-time record versus the in-state foe. The teams last played in 2010, with the Lady Lions sweeping a home-and-home series.
Following the trip to north Louisiana, Southeastern head to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a two-game series. The series opens with a 2 p.m. contest on Friday and concludes on Saturday at 12 p.m. Live stats for the series will be available at
