HAMMOND, La. – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team earned an 11-2 victory over Northwest Florida State College in a 10-inning exhibition Wednesday evening at North Oak Park.
 
SLU improved to 5-0 during its fall scrimmage schedule with the win over the defending NJCAA Division I national champions.
 
All eight Southeastern pitchers combined to hold NWF to four hits. Cera Blanchard, Haley Crawford and Katherine Thiessen each tossed two scoreless innings. Crawford and Hallie Burns shared team-high honors with two strikeouts apiece.
 
Mykail Lusco hit a home run and led SLU with three RBI in Wednesday's win. Colleen Kulivan, Shenita Tucker and Cydnee Schneider each had two hits, while Breezy Pantalion led the Lady Lions with four runs scored and three steals.
 
Southeastern will continue its fall schedule Friday, hosting LSU Alexandria at 5 p.m. for a 10-inning exhibition at North Oak Park.
