HAMMOND, La. – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team continued its unbeaten run through its fall schedule with a 16-4 victory over Coastal Alabama Community College in a 10-inning exhibition Wednesday evening at North Oak Park.
 
Southeastern improved to 4-0 this fall with the victory. The Lady Lions recorded 22 hits in the win.
 
Chloe Magee, Maria Detillier and Katherine Thiessen led the team with three hits apiece. Detillier led Southeastern with four RBI, while Magee drove in three and hit an inside-the-park home run.
 
Magee and Morris shared team-high honors with three runs scored apiece. Southeastern stole eight bases with Breezy Pantalion leading the way with three steals.
 
The Southeastern pitching staff of Thiessen, Tyler Oubre, Hallie Burns, Haley Crawford, Celia Lamkin, Cera Blanchard, Bre Clark and Macie LaRue combined to hold CACC to five hits and two earned runs. Oubre and Blanchard each threw two scoreless innings, while Blanchard struck out a team-high four in the win.
 
SLU will be back in action Oct. 15, hosting Northwest Florida State for a 5 p.m. 10-inning exhibition at North Oak Park.
