HAMMOND, La. – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team continued its fall schedule with a 9-3 victory over LSU Alexandria in a 10-inning exhibition Friday evening at North Oak Park.
 
Southeastern improved to 6-0 this fall with the victory.
 
The Lady Lions finished with 16 hits in the win. Shelby Morris and Kailey Dixon led Southeastern with three hits apiece, while Morris also paced SLU with two RBI. Colleen Kulivan and Shenita Tucker shared team-high honors with two runs scored each.
 
Eight SLU pitchers – Cera Blanchard, Haley Crawford, Macie LaRue, Bre Clark, Celia Lamkin, Katherine Thiessen, Tyler Oubre and Hallie Burns – combined to hold the Generals to six hits. The Southeastern staff combined for 13 strikeouts with Oubre and Thiessen fanning a team-high three each.
 
Southeastern will continue its fall schedule Wednesday, hosting LSU Alexandria at 5 p.m. for a 10-inning exhibition at North Oak Park.
