Freshman Season (2024):
Competed in 11 meets for the Lions in his collegiate debut... Competed in the 600-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay at the LSU Purple Tiger, his first collegiate track & field meet, his only 600-meter run of the season where he finished in 1:22.92... Ran his fastest 800-meter time of the season at the LSU Alumni Gold outdoor meet, finishing in 1:51.83... Best 1,500-meter run time of the year came at the Strawberry Relays as he stopped the clock in 4:02.42... Qualified for the finals of the 800-meters at both SLC Championships, indoor & outdoor... Was part of four 4x400-meter relay teams... Also competed in a pair of 4x800-meter relays... Named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
Prior to Southeastern:
Prepped at Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium in his native Germany... Ran for the LG Region Karlsruhe club, where he mostly ran the 400-meter dash & 800-meter run... Competed at the U-20 German National Championships.
Personal:
Born January 13, 2005 in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany... Son of Martin & Anke Anstett... Has two older siblings, Jan & Maike... Brother, Jan, competed on the track & field team at fellow SLC institution, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi... Sister, Maike, competed in track & field at the University of Akron... Enjoys photography & hiking... Most exciting sporting event he's witnessed was the European Championships in Munich... Biggest thrill was competing at the U-20 German National Championships with the goal of becoming an Olympian... Majors in business administration at SLU.
