MCKINNEY, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana men's golf team remained in the hunt for the Southland Conference Championships on a windy day Tuesday at the Dye Course at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.
Scores rose on a day when the winds were blowing in the 20s. Southeastern, the first-round leader, slipped to second with a second round 28-over-par 316 and is at 35-over 611 heading into Wednesday's final round. The Lions, trying to win their first title since 2013 and fifth overall, are three shots behind reigning tournament champion McNeese, which shot an 18-over 306 and is at 32-over 608.
