HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will return to the course this week, traveling to Oneonta, Ala. to compete in the GMAC Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Limestone Springs Golf Club.
Southeastern will be one of 13 teams competing in the tournament. The first two rounds are set for Monday and concludes with the final round Tuesday. Live scoring, provided by host UAB, will be accessible via the golf schedule page at
www.LionSports.net.
SLU will be paired with Winthrop and USC Upstate. In addition to the host Blazers, the field will also include Florida Atlantic, Queens University of Charlotte, West Georgia, North Alabama, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, Samford, Lipscomb and Central Arkansas. Three individuals from Alabama will round out the field.
The Lions opened the 2025-26 season with a seventh-place finish at the Grover Page Classic. SLU shot nine-under par as a team in last week's debut.
Griffin Dorr was the Lions' top finisher in Memphis, finishing five-under par for the week, which was good for a tie for 13
th place. Dorr will be one of three holdovers in the lineup from the season opener for SLU, along with
David Marsh and
Noah Bumgarner.
Preston Paulk will make his 2025-26 debut this week for Southeastern, while true freshman
Lorenzo Palmieri will make his collegiate debut as a Lion this week.
Following this week's action, SLU will take a week off before returning to the course Oct. 6-7 at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate in Jonesboro, Ark.
