Frisco, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana track and field placed six student-athletes to the 2015 Indoor All-Southland Conference Team, the league announced Wednesday.
Earning a first-team nod was junior
Alex Young, who set a new Southland Conference Indoor Championship meet record to win the men's weight throw. Young was also given second-team honors in the shot put, after placing second at the indoor championships with a throw of 52 feet, 2.75 inches (15.92 meters).

Jonathan Kinchen and senior
Brett Olsen followed close behind Young in the weight throw, as the Lions swept the event. Kinchen earned second-team honors with his throw of 62 feet, 6.5 inches, while Olsen was named to the third team, with a toss of 60 feet, 9.25 inches.
Also on the men's side, juniors
Raheem Brown and
Gennard Paul earned second-team honors for their performances in the 60-meter dash and the triple jump, respectively. Brown placed second in the 60-meters with a time of 6.82, while Paul jumped for 49 feet, ten inches to earn second place.
For the Lady Lions, junior
Misha Frazier earned both second and third team honors from the Southland Conference. Frazier came in second in the women's shot put (48 feet, 5.25 inches) and third in the weight throw at the 2015 Indoor Championships.
The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team will kick off their outdoor season on March 6
th at the Jaguar Opener, hosted by the University of South Alabama.
