"What a historic season for such an amazing athlete," said SLU head track & field coach Michael Rheams. "She overcame major adversity, especially after not feeling well following the [NCAA East First Round] meet, but she continued to fight in her pursuit of greatness. I couldn't be prouder and more honored to have witnessed her journey. I'd like to give a special thanks to Coach
Damion Jeanpiere, who has played a vital role in helping her achieve this level of excellence. I am also deeply grateful to [assistant athletic trainer] Alexis [Ring], who was with us every step of the way, keeping the team healthy and advocating for each and every athlete. What an incredible season!"
