SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana women's basketball team will look to salvage a split on its Southland Conference road trip, when it travels to face league foe Incarnate Word on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the McDermott Convocation Center.
The game between the Lady Lions (6-9, 2-2 Southland) and the host Cardinals (4-10, 1-2 Southland) will be broadcast live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the Internet at

Southeastern will be looking to bounce back from an 83-60 loss to Lamar on Thursday. In the loss, the Lady Cardinals scored 30 points off 23 Lamar turnovers. Junior guard
Peaches Anderson knocked down six three-point field goals to tie a career high with 18 points for SLU.
Anderson was joined in double figures by
Jameika Hoskins, who narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Senior guard
Elizabeth Styles pitched with eight points and dished out a game-high five assists for the Lady Lions.

Symone Miller leads SLU with 13.7 points per game, followed by junior forward
Nanna Pool (12.1 ppg) and Styles (10.9 ppg). Styles continues to lead the Southland in assists, dishing out 5.9 dimes per outing. Anderson ranks among the league leaders with just under two three-point field goals per contest.
Pool, who has a team-high seven double-doubles, is SLU's top rebounder with 9.6 boards per contest. Hoskins (8.1 rpg) has also been effective on the glass, averaging a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game in conference play.
The Lady Lions are allowing 73.6 points and forcing 15.1 turnovers per game. Pool leads the team with 15 blocked shots, while Styles tops the squad with just under two steals per outing.
Several Lady Lions are continuing to climb in the school's career rankings. Pool is ninth in school history with 627 career rebounds, while Styles is seventh in both assists (405) and steals (144). Miller, who is 54 points away from becoming the 19
th student-athlete in school history to reach 1,000 career points, is eighth in school history with 89 three-point field goals.
Incarnate Word will be playing for the first time since a 73-51 loss at Northwestern State. Junior guard Aricka Adams leads the team with 12.8 points per game. Junior forward Yvonne Maosa leads the Cardinals with 7.3 rebounds per outing, while freshman guard Jazmine Holman has a team-high 3.6 assists per game.
Southeastern will be making its first-ever trip to UIW, which is in its second year as a member of the Southland. Last season in Hammond, SLU picked up a 67-52 victory over the Cardinals, behind 19 points from then-senior forward
Aja Gibson and a 17-rebound effort by Pool.
Following Saturday's game, SLU will play its next four games in the University Center, starting with a 7 p.m. game on Thursday versus Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The game will be broadcast live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the Internet at
