HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team is entering the program's final week of competition for the 2025-26 season with three matchups in five days. The Lady Lions will start the week with a trip across Lake Pontchartrain to take on New Orleans, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Then, SLU will visit Nicholls in Thibodaux, La., Saturday, at 1 p.m., before facing Lamar in the final game of the regular season, Monday, at 6:30 p.m. in Beaumont, Texas.
SLU's (4-22, 3-16 in SLC) contests against UNO (3-24, 3-16), Nicholls (12-14, 8-11), and Lamar (17-9, 14-5) will be televised on ESPN+. The games against New Orleans and Lamar can also be heard on KSLU 90.9 The Lion, online at either

After a career-high scoring performance of 30 points against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi,
Aliyah Collins has risen to a scoring average of 14.1 points per game, the fourth-highest mark in the Southland Conference. The junior posted her 20
th game of double-digit scoring during the 2025-26 season with 11 points against UTRGV Saturday.
Lihi Azouri is also scoring in double-figures with 10.5 points per game.
After swiping six steals against the Islanders Thursday,
Natalie Huff has the most takeaways among the Lady Lions this season. Through 26 games, the redshirt freshman is averaging 1.8 steals per contest, the eighth most in the SLC.
Brialle Washington leads the Privateers in scoring this season with 10.4 points per game. Shanihya Brown averages 10 points per game, good for second on the team in scoring. On the defensive side of the floor, Jayla Kimbrough's 5.3 rebounds per game lead New Orleans. With 2.6 steals per game, Brown has the second-most steals among all SLC student-athletes. The Privateers have lost the last three games to HCU, SFA, and Lamar, with their last win being a 77-73 decision at UIW, Thursday, Feb. 12.
Ranking eighth in the Southland Conference standings, Nicholls is looking to get back in the win column after three straight losses. After back-to-back wins over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and HCU, the Colonels dropped the final three games of the team's road slate to UIW, Lamar, and SFA. On Thursday, Nicholls will host the SLC's No. 1 team McNeese, before matching up with SLU Saturday.
Marie Kenembeni's 11 points per game has paced the Colonels through 26 games, while Sh'Diamond McKnight's 10.8 points-per-game average is second on the team. Emani Burks owns the team's top rebounding mark with six boards per matchup. The Colonels are the SLC's second-ranked team in takeaways with 10.5 steals per game. The program also ranks second in the conference in turnover margin.
The Southland's fourth-ranked Lamar has won its last three games with victories over the Islanders, the Colonels, and the Privateers. The Cardinals will go on the road to HCU and UIW before hosting the regular-season finale against SLU Monday. Kamryn Wilson's 11.4 points-per-game mark leads Lamar. With 5.7 rebounds per game, Solenne Olenga is the team's leader in rebounding. Lamar's defense has set the tone this season, holding teams to 58.2 points per game, the second-best mark in the Southland.
SLU leads the all-time series, 19-16, over New Orleans. Southeastern has won 37 of its 60 matchups against Nicholls since 1994. Lamar leads the Lady Lions, 28-23, in the all-time series going back to 1975.
