HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's basketball team will return home to host Mobile on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the University Center.
The game between SLU (1-2) and the visiting Rams (2-2) will be broadcast live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the Internet at
www.LionSports.net, where LionVision subscribers can access a live video stream of the contest. Freshman guard
Taylin Underwood will be Tuesday's Spotlight Player of the Game and the first 100 fans will receive a trading card featuring the Livingston, Louisiana native courtesy of PRIDE.
Southeastern will be look to bounce back from a narrow 80-78 loss at Troy. Junior forward
Nanna Pool posted her first double-double of the season with 23 points – tying a career-high – and 10 rebounds. Junior guard
Peaches Anderson added 15 points, while senior guard
Elizabeth Styles contributed 12 points. Senior forward
Jameika Hoskins contributed a career-high 10 rebounds.
The Lady Lions enter Tuesday's game averaging 72.3 points per contest. Pool leads the team with 16.7 points per game and is joined in double figures by senior guard
Symone Miller (14.7 ppg) and Styles (14.3 ppg). Styles leads the team with 5.7 assists per game, while she (62.5 percent) and Miller (60.0 percent) are both shooting over 50 percent from behind the arc.
Southeastern is also averaging 42.3 rebounds per game. Hoskins leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per contest, followed by Pool (7.0 rpg) and senior forward
Annessa De La Cruz (6.3 rpg).
Defensively, opponents have scored 88.3 points per game versus Southeastern through the first three games of the season. Pool has a team-high three blocked shots, while Miller leads the team with five steals.
Mobile enters Tuesday's game as the No. 21 ranked team in NAIA. The Rams are led by sophomore guard Kali Koenig's 15.0 points and 3.1 assists per contest. Sophomore guard Jammieca Hudson follows with 13.0 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds per contest. Junior guard Molly Speed joins Koenig and Hudson in double figures with 10.3 points per game.
Southeastern is 9-1 all-time versus Mobile. Last season, SLU defeated the Rams, 76-68, in the season opener behind 35 points from Miller.
