HIGH SCHOOL: Rated as the No. 3 ranked left-handed pitcher in Kansas and No. 23 overall prospect in the state according Perfect Game … played both baseball and basketball at Blue Valley HS in Stillwell, Kansas … baseball team captain as a senior … recorded a 6-1 W-L record with 58 strikeouts and 1.30 ERA in 38 IP … as a senior earned first-team Kansas 6A All-State at pitcher by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches … also earned first-team All-State by Sports in Kansas as a senior … earned honorable mention 6A All-State as a junior … a two-time All-Eastern Kansas League selection, earning first-team as a senior and second-team as a junior … starting and winning pitcher for the Tigers 2018 6A State Championship 1-0 win over Blue Valley Northwest …  as a junior posted a 2.60 ERA, a 4-1 record with 50 strikeouts over 31 innings pitched … finished career with a 10-1 W-L record in 63 IP … qualified for the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years.
 
PERSONAL: Born in Overland Park, Kansas … son of Robert and Jan Long … father played collegiate football at Fort Hays State … has three older siblings, Brooke, Grace and Jack … enjoys playing golf and watching sports … majoring in business administration at SLU.
