2023 Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2023 [JUNIOR]: Appeared in 11 games, all in relief … compiled a 6.75 ERA in 13.1 innings pitched … surrendered 16 hits and six walks, striking out eight batters … turned in four scoreless outings … struck out a season-high three batters in his Southeastern debut, logging a scoreless inning against Lafayette (Feb. 18) … tossed a season-high 3.0 scoreless, hitless innings against New Orleans (April 6) … member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO SLU: Played two seasons at Allen CC in Iola, Kansas … named the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division MVP and Freshman of the Year after slashing .393 / .475 / .659 with nine doubles, six triples, five home runs and 37 RBIs … stole seven bases … also went 5-1 with seven saves and a 2.45 ERA in 18 pitching appearances … walked just five batters and struck out 26 in 25.2 innings pitched … honorable mention All-American … slashed .340 / .447 / .509 as a sophomore with 11 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 31 RBIs … stole 14 bases and scored 53 runs … picked up a pair of saves in five pitching appearances.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball and football at Bentonville HS in Bentonville, Arkansas … two-time All-State cornerback in football.

PERSONAL: Born in Springfield, Missouri … son of Kimberly and Jason Bennett … has two older siblings, Luke and Lauren … enjoys fishing and playing video games … intends on majoring in general studies at Southeastern.
