The Lions (3-3) picked up a series victory over Jacksonville (2-6) this past weekend, claiming 2-1 and 5-4 wins in the first two games before dropping an 8-0 decision to the Dolphins in the series finale. ULM (5-1) swept a weekend series from Grambling State (3-4).

Southeastern is led at the plate by Jacob Burke (.444), Nick Ray (.238) and Trey Harrington (.231). Burke, Ray and Brandon Hale have knocked a pair of extra-base hits each while Champ Artigues has driven in a team-high four runs. Burke and Tyler Finke are tied for the team lead with three stolen bases apiece.

Junior right-hander Daniel Dugas (0-1, 11.57) draws the pitching nod in the series opener, facing Warhawk left-hander Tyler Lien (---). Neither team has announced a starting pitcher for Wednesday's finale.

Ryan Humeniuk (.440), Logan Wurm (.429) and Mason Holt (.364) are ULM's leading hitters. Colby Deaville and Danny DeSimone have each smashed a pair of home runs while DeSimone leads the squad with nine RBI. Trace Henry has swiped a team-high five bags.

The Lions, who took both games last season in Hammond, have won six of the nine games against ULM since the schools renewed the series following a seven-year hiatus.

Southeastern returns to action this weekend with a three-game series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field against Stony Brook. Games are slated for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Lions are running pair of ticket promotions for the weekend series. Leap Year babies, born on February 29, will receive a complimentary ticket for Saturday's game against Stony Brook by presenting their ID at the ticket office before game day or the ticket window at the ballpark.

Sunday's game is a Cane's Challenge contest as well as Military and Local Hero Appreciation Day. If you have a valid military service or unit member (police, EMT, Firefighter, etc.) ID, bring it to the ticket office before game day or the ticket window at the ballpark to receive two free tickets to the game.
