2021 Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2021 [SENIOR]: Member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll ... appeared in nine games, earning starts at UIW (March 20) and against McNeese (May 28) … compiled an 0-1 W-L record and one save to go with a 5.40 ERA in 13.1 innings pitched … allowed 18 hits and seven walks, striking out 12 batters … opponents hit .321 off the right-hander … hit one batters and threw a pair of wild pitches … earned a save against Abilene Christian (April 10) … turned in scoreless outings at No. 10-ranked LSU (March 16), at Lamar (March 28), McNeese (April 3) and HBU (May 22).

2020 [JUNIOR]: Appeared in four games, earning a pair of starts during pandemic-shortened season ... compiled an 0-3 record to go along with a 13.50 ERA ... surrendered 20 hits and nine walks in 8.2 innings pitched, striking out seven ... also hit one batter ... held opponents to a .476 batting average ... suffered losses against UL Lafayette (2/18), ULM (2/25) and No. 20-ranked LSU (3/3) ... earned starts at ULM and LSU.

PRIOR TO SLU: Played freshman and sophomore seasons at Delgado CC in New Orleans, Louisiana … helped lead the Dolphins to a 36-14 record as a sophomore … starting all 11 games in which he appeared … compiled a 6-4 record and 4.41 ERA in 49 innings … scattered 44 hits and 19 walks, striking out 43 batters … tossed a pair of complete games … led the team in wins, games started and strikeouts … helped the Dolphins to a 37-16 record as a freshman … compiled a 2-1 record and a 5.66 ERA in 31 innings … scattered 38 hits and 18 walks, striking out 29 batters.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Pearl River HS … owns a 6-4 career record with four saves and a 2.61 ERA … struck out 58 batters in 61.2 innings … also a career .314 hitter with 15 doubles, one triple, one home run and 45 RBIs.
 
PERSONAL: Born Daniel Joseph Dugas in Pearl River, Louisiana … son of Gene and Angela Dugas … has a pair of older siblings, Jacob and Sarah … enjoys hunting and fishing … majoring in general studies at Southeastern.
