HAMMOND, La. – Three Southeastern Louisiana pitchers combined on a no-hitter Tuesday evening during Game No. 2 of the Heart of a Lion Fall World Series as the GATA squad cruised to a 12-0, seven-inning victory over Mamba at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
 
Dalton Aspholm, Hunter O'Toole (1-1) and Harrison Haley combined to hold Mamba (0-2) off the scoreboard despite issuing three walks and hitting four batters. O'Toole earned the win, logging four shutout innings of relief after taking over in the third inning. The sophomore from Arkansas City, Kansas walked a pair, hit one batter and thruck out three. Mamba starting pitcher Cam Gauthier (1-1) was saddled with the loss, allowing one run in three innings of work.

"[Hunter] just kept executing pitches," pitching coach Andrew Gipson said. "The biggest thing in any sort of situation, especially in a game like this, if you can work with tempo and keep those dudes on their feet, not back on their heels throwing balls, you've got a chance to be real successful."
 
O'Toole settled in, allowing the GATA (2-0) bats to come alive. Freshman outfielder Joe Delaney was 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring three runs and driving in one. Shortstop Evan Keller drove in a pair with a 2-for-3 performance and Trey Harrington drive in three runners with a 1-for-3 showing at the plate. Senior third baseman Eli Johnson finished the night 1-for-2, but scored three runs.
 
FALL WORLD SERIES
The Southeastern Louisiana baseball program wraps up its annual Heart of a Lion Fall World Series, Oct. 14, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. The final game is scheduled for  6 p.m.
