HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's basketball team will close out non-conference play on Thursday, hosting Alabama A&M at 2 p.m. in the University Center.

Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite tacky Christmas sweater to Thursday's game. Thursday will also be a Cane's Challenge in the UC. Southeastern will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak when Alabama A&M comes to town. The Lady Lions were unable to overcome 31 turnovers in an 80-46 loss at Auburn on Tuesday night.

Taylin Underwood led Southeastern with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals in Tuesday's loss. Sophomore guard

Ashailee Brailey added eight points each. Dawsey and Underwood each dished out a team-high four assists.
Underwood leads the team and ranks third in the Southland with 17.4 points per game and leads the league with 3.4 three-point field goals per game. Underwood ranks 11
th in school history with 1,215 career points and her career record 205 three-point field goals are the ninth-most in Southland Conference history.
Freshman forward
Caitlyn Williams (8.7 ppg), junior forward
Jyar Francis (7.3 ppg) and Brailey (6.3 ppg) are the other top scorers for SLU, which averages 56.6 points, 19.8 turnovers and 8.4 three-point field goals per outing. Underwood (2.5 apg) and sophomore guard

The Lady Lions are averaging 34.3 rebounds per game and have a minus-13.0 rebounding margin.
Caitlyn Williams leads the team with 7.1 rebounds per contest, while Underwood is averaging 5.4 boards per game.
Defensively, Southeastern is allowing 77.6 points and forcing 19.0 turnovers per game. Morrison paces the squad with 1.8 steals per contest.
Alabama A&M will be looking to snap a two-game losing skid. In their last outing, the Lady Bulldogs dropped an 85-58 decision at UAB on Sunday.
Freshman center Ashlyn Dotson leads AAMU with 8.0 points per game, followed closely by freshman guard Nigeria Jones (7.8 ppg). Freshman forward Alexandra Johnson leads the Lady Bulldogs with 5.2 rebounds per game, while sophomore guard Lauren McKee has a team-best 3.3 assists per contest.
Thursday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
