MCKINNEY, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana jumped out to the first-round lead and is in second place following the second round of the Southland Conference Men's Golf Championships being held at the Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.

"We played great in the morning and horrible in the afternoon," Southeastern head coach
Jake Narro said. "The good news is we are still in second place but the bad news is we have some ground to make up. But on this course that can be made up fairly quickly because there is a lot of trouble and a lot of bad places to hit it."
  Â
The tournament was scheduled for 18 holes each on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but the threat of more inclement weather later in the week forced a 36-hole rainy opening day. The tournament concludes Tuesday with opening tee times at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring, provided by the Southland Conference, will be available at

The tournament champion receives the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Regionals. The individual medalist also qualifies for the NCAAs.
