HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana men's golf team will compete in the NCAA Lubbock Regional, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
Southeastern will be one of 13 teams competing on the par-71, 7,349-yard course over the next three days. The top five teams and the top individual not on one of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, scheduled for May 29-June 3 at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida.
The teams will play 18 holes each day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with each day's action beginning at 8 a.m. Live scoring, provided by host Texas Tech, will be accessible at LionSports.net. SLU, the No. 9 seed in the regional, will be paired with seventh-seeded Louisville and No. 8 seed Duke for Thursday's first round and the group will tee off at 8:55 a.m.
SLU, UL, Duke and Texas Tech will be joined in the field by Texas, Auburn, North Florida, California, Houston, Purdue, Georgia State, UC Irvine and Charleston Southern.
Competing as individuals will be Nicholas Platret (Texas-Pan American), Adria Arnaus (Texas A&M), Victor Lange (Louisiana Tech), Tyler McDaniel (Kentucky), David Snyder (Kentucky), Greg Yates (Texas A&M), Martin Simonsen (UTEP), Matt Mabrey (Tulsa), Jake Sherwin (Florida Gulf Coast) and Tomasz Anderson (Jacksonville State).
The Lions will be making their eighth trip to the regional tournament as a team. SLU previously competed in the NCAA regional competition in 1998, 2000, 2007 (at-large), 2010, 2011 (at-large), 2012 (at-large) and 2013. In addition, eight Lion individuals have advanced to the NCAA regionals. SLU's last trip to the NCAA Championships was in 1998.
Leading the way for SLU is senior
Grady Brame. The Hammond, Louisiana native has been named first team All-Southland Conference each of the past two seasons. He will be competing in the NCAA Regionals for the fourth straight season, as he participated in the San Antonio Regional as an individual as a junior.

Lawrence Allan will be playing for the Lions, while junior
Eamon Bradley and sophomore
Paul Obermann, who have both earned all-league honors in previous seasons, will also be among the SLU starting five.
Southeastern's last trip to the NCAA Regionals as a team was in 2013. The Lions finished 12
th at the Baton Rouge Regional that season.
