San Marcos, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field teams wrapped up a busy weekend in the Lone Star state on Saturday.
Southeastern continued to shine at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, as the men's 4x400 meter relay team took first place.
Andre Colbrook,
Raheem Brown,
Billy Minnifield, and
Ashley Riley combined for the top time of 3:12.51.
In the men's 800-meter run, Colbrook placed fourth with a time of 1:53.48.
Christian Chapman placed tenth in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.91.
The men's 200-meter dash proved to be a successful test for several Lions. Brown's season best time of 21.21 earned him third place. Ken Breland set a personal best, posting a 15
th-place time of 21.92. Minnifield came in 22
nd, with a time of 22.18.
"This was definitely the best weekend we've had as a sprint and hurdle group," said head coach
Sean Brady. "We didn't have our whole squad, but they will join us next week at LSU."
