Lake Charles, Louisiana – The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field teams will travel to Lake Charles on Friday to compete in the Cameron Communications McNeese College Indoor II meet.
The Lions and Lady Lions will be looking to make another successful showing after two indoor school records were broken at last week's Vulcan Invitational. Junior
Ashley Riley set a new school record in the men's 400-meter dash. In his first run in this event as a Lion, the Nassau, Bahamas native placed second with a time of 48.40.
The women's 4x400 meter relay team also etched their names in the Southeastern record books after turning in a 4th place time of 3:57.44.
Domonique White,
Vanessa Williams,
Bayleigh Butler, and
Kayla Quincy combined to break the previous record of 3:57.78 that was set in 2011.
