SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team fell short in a 7-0 loss to Texas State in Southland Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
 
The Lady Lions fell to 8-9 overall and 1-7 in Southland Conference action with the loss. Texas State moved to 13-4 this spring with an 8-1 league record.
 
In doubles play, Texas State took the early lead with three wins. At No. 2, Lady Lion senior Morgane Dadot and freshman Morgane Charpenne were the most competitive for Southeastern, eventually losing, 8-4, to Texas State junior Gabriela Rojas and sophomore Berenice Van den Bergh.
 
The Bobcats won all six singles matches in straight sets. Charpenne, coming off a win on Friday versus UTA, nearly rallied past Rojas, before eventually falling, 6-3, 7-5, on the No. 4 court.
 
Southeastern will continue its Texas trip on Monday, when it faces UTSA at 1 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
