HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana will close out its 2012 Southland Conference Schedule this weekend, hosting a pair of league opponents at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
The Lions (9-10, 1-8 Southland) open action on Saturday, facing Northwestern State (12-4, 5-3 Southland) and will welcome Central Arkansas (7-14, 1-7 Southland) on Sunday. First serve for both matches is set for 11 a.m.
Southeastern is coming off a 7-0 win at Prairie View on Monday. The Lions won all six singles matches in straight sets and swept through doubles play. Senior
Audrey Chelini won the 49
th singles match of her career, moving her into 10
th place on the school's career list.

Morgane Dadot share the team lead in singles victories this spring. Chelini is 9-10 playing at the top of the singles draw, while Dadot has posted a 9-9 mark playing on the No. 3 and 4 courts.
Four other Lions have eight singles victories this spring. Junior

Morgane Charpenne (8-8), sophomore
Laura Verges (8-9) and freshman
Adriana Castillo (8-11) round out the singles lineup for Southeastern.
Southeastern is 28-26 as a team in doubles play. Castillo and Verges have a team-best 9-3 doubles mark, while Chelini and freshman
Marion Courbis have teamed for an 8-6 record.
On Saturday, Southeastern will face a Northwestern State squad that features four players with double-digit singles victories. Sophomore Polina Konop and freshman Tatiana Larina share the team lead with 13-3 marks, followed by senior Olga Bazhanova (12-4) and junior Andrea Nedorostova (11-5).
In doubles play, Bazhanova and Konop have posted a team-best 14-2 doubles record at No. 1. At No. 2, Larina and Nedorostova are an impressive 3-13.
Central Arkansas picked up its first-ever victory in Southland play last week, defeating McNeese State, 5-2. Freshman Kristina Horsikyan leads the team with an 11-9 singles record, while junior Kazumi Otani is 9-8.
Kristina Horsikyan and sophomore Sasha Ruocco have paired for a team-best 13-7 record. Otani has teamed with sophomore Simona Horsikyan to go 11-9 at No. 2.
Following the weekend league matches, Southeastern will close the season on Monday, facing Jackson State at 6 p.m. in Jackson, Miss.
