JACKSON, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team earned a pair of shutout victories to close out its nonconference regular season road schedule Thursday evening at the JSU Tennis Center.
Southeastern (13-8) opened the day with a 4-0 victory over Jackson State (11-11). Later in the day, the Lions rolled to a 5-0 win over Mississippi Valley State (0-11).
Paige Duncan (14-4) and
Adriana Tirado (15-5) both picked up a pair of singles victories Thursday.
Panatchakorn Suanarsa (7-11),
Aitana Darder (7-6) and
Taisia Bolsova (5-0) also earned singles wins.
In doubles play, Tirado and
Mariam Tetradze (9-7) paired for a pair of wins. The SLU teams of
Bente Bierma and Duncan (8-7), as well as Darder and Bolsova (11-8) each earned one win apiece.
SLU will return home to host Southland Conference foe UTRGV Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
