SHREVEPORT – The Southeastern Louisiana women's basketball team will continue non-conference play on Saturday, heading to Centenary for a 12 p.m. contest at the Gold Dome.
The Lady Lions (2-2) are looking for their first road victory of the season and their third consecutive win overall. Centenary (1-3) lost its first three games of the season, but came back with a 75-69 overtime win at Louisiana-Lafayette last Thursday.

Southeastern opened its home schedule with a 66-46 victory over North Florida last Saturday. On Tuesday, the Lady Lions held off a Stetson rally on the way to a 66-60 win over the Hatters.

Quantae Thomas led Southeastern with 12 points apiece in Tuesday's victory. Senior guard
Bethany Sinclair gave the Lady Lions a third student-athlete in double figures with 10 points.
Senior forward
Kristy Carlin pulled down nine rebounds to help the squad out-rebound Stetson, 45-37. Sinclair also chipped in with a career-high eight boards.
The Lady Lions have developed a very balanced offensive attack through the first four contests. Thomas leads the team with a 12.8 per game scoring average, followed by Carlin, who is averaging 12.0 points per contest and needs 127 points to become the school's 16
th 1,000-point career scorer. Junior guard
Kim Edmonson (8.0 ppg) and Sinclair (7.8 ppg) are the other top scorers for the Lady Lions, who are averaging 59.2 points per contest.
Southeastern is averaging 42 rebounds per game and has out-rebounded three of its first four opponents. Carlin leads the team with an average of 9.0 rebounds per contest. Sinclair (5.0 rpg), Thomas (4.5 rpg) and Edmonson (4.3 rpg) are the other top rebounders for the Lady Lions.
After struggling in the first two games, Southeastern has limited its turnovers in its last two wins, posting an even assist-to-turnover ratio in its last contests. Freshman guard
Kelli Jenkins leads the team with 2.5 assists per game, followed by Hix and Carlin with 1.5 apiece.
Southeastern also has been efficient in forcing turnovers, as Lady Lion opponents are averaging 18.5 turnovers per contest. Sinclair, senior center
Adonna Weaver, Carlin and senior guard
Charinee Mitchell are all averaging over a steal per contest.
Centenary lost to Alabama, Southeastern's Southland Conference rival Sam Houston State and Louisiana-Monroe to open the season before the victory over the Lady Cajuns. Freshman guard Chelsea Johnson led the Ladies to their first victory of the season with 17 points in the overtime victory over ULL.
Sophomore center Anne Farrell is the top performer for Centenary, averaging a team-high 11.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest. Farrell is one of three Ladies entering Saturday's game with double-digit scoring averages, along with senior wing Cierra Bush (11.0 ppg) and Johnson (10.5 ppg). Senior wing Karolina Zaloga leads the team with 6.8 assists per game.
Centenary is averaging 44.8 rebounds per contest, behind the strong board work of Farrell. The Ladies are shooting 36.2 percent from the floor this season and are averaging 24.3 turnovers per game.
Southeastern has won all five of its previous meetings with Centenary, including victories in each of the last two seasons. Carlin posted a career-high 23 points in last season's 61-59 victory. Bethany Joseph had 15 points in the loss for Centenary, as then-senior guard Brooke Necaise hit a game-winning three in the final seconds to help Southeastern earn the victory.
Following Saturday's game, Southeastern will return home to host William Carey on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the University Center. Southeastern's next road trip is scheduled for Thursday, as the Lady Lions will head to Ole Miss for an 11 a.m. contest.
