BATON ROUGE, La. – The reigning Southland Conference regular season champion Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team opened the road portion of its 2025-26 schedule with a 115-26 loss to No. 5 LSU Thursday night in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Mari Dangerfield led SLU (1-1) with eight points in Thursday's loss. Dangerfield and
Taylor Ross each had a team-high four rebounds for the Lady Lions.
Flau'jae Johnson led five Tigers in double figures with 17 points, while Kate Koval paced LSU (2-0) with nine rebounds.
Thursday's contest was the first of three straight on the road for SLU and the first of back-to-back contests at SEC competition. The Lady Lions next head to Arkansas for a 6:30 p.m. contest Nov. 13 in Fayetteville, Ark. The game at the Razorbacks will be televised on SEC Network+.
