SLU Falls to No. 14 Baylor Wednesday

Southeastern (2-4) will host another SLC matchup Sunday

WACO, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team fell to the Baylor Bears on Wednesday night in the Foster Pavilion, 112-47.
 
Southeastern (2-4) faced one of the top programs in the country in Baylor (8-1). The Bears stretched their winning streak to four, handing the Lady Lions a road loss after SLU defeated Southland Conference opponent East Texas A&M on Nov. 22.
 
Aliyah Collins was Southeastern's best player on the offensive end of the floor, posting 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting, adding three assists to the box score. Natalie Huff and Eryn McKinzie each scored eight points, while Mia Ramos and Lihi Azouri finished with seven points apiece. Collins also led on the defensive end of the floor with a team-high three steals. Huff collected four rebounds to lead the team.
 
The Bears had six scorers in double figures, led by Taliah Scott, who finished with a 23-point 10-assist double-double. Darianna Littlepage-Buggs also notched a double-double on 10 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Bella Fontleroy put together a 20-point performance for Baylor.
 
The Lady Lions will return to conference play when Southeastern hosts Northwestern State on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m., in the University Center. The game will be available to watch on ESPN+. Sunday's game against Northwestern State is Lion Slam night. Fans can attend the game to get in on halftime activities, giveaways, and more. Eryn McKinzie will be Sunday's Spotlight Player of the Game. The first 150 fans to attend the game will receive a trading card, featuring the Fort Worth, Texas, native.
