HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will close out a three-game home stand on Wednesday, hosting nonconference foe Illinois State at 6 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
 
The Lions (5-6, 1-3 Southland) will be looking to snap a two-game skid. Southeastern opened its home league schedule with losses to Lamar and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
 
Teodora Mitrovic (6-2, No. 5), Kim Bohlen (6-2, No. 6) and Putri Insani (6-4, No. 1) are the leaders for SLU in singles victories. Flory Bierma (3-6, No. 2), Polina Sleptsova (4-5, No. 3) and Ximena Yanez (1-4, No. 4) round out the singles lineup.
 
Insani and Yanez (8-2, No. 1) are the top doubles team for Southeastern. The teams of Bierma and Bohlen (6-3, No. 2) and Sleptsova and Katya Cornejo (3-0, No. 3) have helped SLU win its last three doubles points.  
 
Illinois State (5-7) comes to town looking to snap a three-match losing streak. Laura Arciniegas leads the team with a 7-1 singles record, while Natalia Bravo and Tara Damnjanovic has a team-best 5-2 doubles mark.
