HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will look for a third straight home victory on Tuesday, when Alcorn State visits the Southeastern Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. nonconference match.
The Lions (2-1) opened up its home schedule by defeating Jackson State, 4-0, on Saturday and following it with a 6-1 victory over LSU Alexandria. Alcorn State (0-5) comes to Hammond looking for its first win of the spring.
Kim Bohlen and
Putri Insani lead SLU in singles play, as both enter Tuesday's match with matching 2-0 records.
Flory Bierma,
Katya Cornejo,
Teodora Mitrovic and
Polina Sleptsova each had one singles win apiece.
In doubles action, Bierma and Bohlen are a perfect 3-0 at the bottom of the draw. Insani and
Ximena Yanez have partnered for a 2-1 mark on the No. 1 court.
Alcorn State has played a tough schedule to open 2020. The Lady Braves have suffered losses to Eastern Illinois, Stephen F. Austin, South Alabama and a pair of defeats at Tulane.
