HAMMOND, La. – Team GATA claimed an early lead and then held on for 7-5 win Wednesday afternoon during Southeastern Louisiana's fall intrasquad scrimmage at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.

In what proved to be a bullpen game, Ryan Keeley (1-1) earned the win. The freshman right-hander allowed one run in two innings of work. Noah Hughes closed out the game with a scoreless inning, earning his third save of the fall. Hunter O'Toole (0-1) suffered the loss, coughing up a pair of runs – one earned – in two innings of work.
 
Kyle Flettrich, Tanner Kane and Andrew Landry also turned in a scoreless inning of work each.

Joe Delaney, a freshman outfielder from Destrehan, Louisiana, picked up a pair of hits, going 2-for-3 2ith a triple and a pair of runs scored. He also stole a pair of bases. Gaby Cruz (1-for-3), Preston Faulkner (1-for-1), Christian Garcia (1-for-3), Cam Gauthier (1-for-2), Bryce Grizzaffi (1-for-3) and Nathan Tribble (1-for-1) also had hits.
 
FALL WORLD SERIES
The Southeastern Louisiana baseball program will host its annual Heart of a Lion Fall World Series, Oct. 11-14, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. The three-game series, scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Oct. 14, will conclude the program's intrasquad action for the fall.
