HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Seven distance runners will be in action for the Southeastern Louisiana track team Friday and Saturday at the Southern Miss Invitational at Marshall Bell Track.
For the men,
Shawn Singh, Parker McBride,
Zach Barthel and
Reed Callegan will compete.
Barthel, a freshman, will run in the 1500m at 800m Saturday. The Kenner, Louisiana native, is ranked 14
th in the Southland in the 800m with the event beginning at 2:25 p.m. McBride and Singh will join Barthel in the 800m. Callegan will run in the steeplechase Saturday at 3:25 p.m.
On the women's side,
Tara Stuntz, Lyndsey Hutcheson and
Clarissa Smith will be in action.
Stuntz will line up for the 800 and 1500m races. The sophomore is ranked 15
th in the Southland in 1500m as the conference outdoor championships approach May 3 in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The Prairieville, Louisiana native, will run in the 1500m at 1:05 p.m. and the 800m at 2:20 p.m. Saturday
Hutcheson and Stuntz will compete in the 3000m steeplechase at 3:10 p.m. Saturday.
