BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's track & field teams traveled to the state capital for the LSU Alumni Gold meet Saturday.
Onyah Favour recorded the best time in the Southland Conference with a sixth-place finish of 23.26 in the 200-meter dash. Her 23.26 time is a personal record, 0.14 seconds short of tying the school record of 23.12, set at the Southland Conference Championships by Christine Amertil in 2000. Favour's 23.26 is the 21
st-best mark in the South-Central region and the 57
th-best time in NCAA Division I this season.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team notched a school record for SLU Saturday. The team of

Miriam Kauer,
Zoe Wilson, and Favour ended the relay in fourth with a time of 3:40.29, breaking the previous program record set at the 2025 LSU Alumni Gold meet. The team's 3:40.29 time is also the second-best mark in the Southland this season.
Donald Butler achieved a top-five finish Saturday, posting a high jump of 2.11 meters (6'11"), a personal-best jump. Butler's fifth-place finish of 2.11 meters tied the fifth-best mark in the SLC.
Gerrit Visser claimed fourth in the hammer throw, launching for a distance of 60.14 meters (197'3").
Josh-Ty Brown took fifth in the shot put with a toss of 17.12 meters (56'2"). Earning a personal-best mark, senior
Alex Gordon posted a career mark in the 100-meter dash, clocking 10.52.
Southeastern will make the trip to Lexington, Ky., next week for the Lions' final meet before the Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The two-day meet is set to begin Friday, May 1.
