HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will return to action on Friday, traveling to face in-state foe UL Lafayette at 4 p.m. at the Cajun Courts.
The match will be the second of a six-match road swing for the Lions (2-1). Southeastern bounced back from a season-opening loss to Tulane with victories overs LSU Alexandria and Alcorn State last week.
Putri Insani leads SLU in singles play with a 2-0 record on the No. 1 court.

Katya Cornejo and
Bernadette Dornieden all have singles wins to their credit this spring.

Himani Mor have a team-best 2-1 record in doubles play. The pairings of Insani and
Ximena Yanez, as well as Bierma and Cornejo, each are 1-1 through the first two weeks of the season.
UL Lafayette (3-2) will be looking to snap a two-match skid. The Ragin' Cajuns opened the spring with wins over Southern, Jackson State and Incarnate Word, before dropping consecutive decisions to McNeese and Northwestern State.
Southeastern will be looking to avenge a hard-fought 4-3 loss to UL Lafayette in last season's opener. The Lions took the doubles point to take the lead, but the Ragin' Cajuns bounced back with straight-set wins on the top three courts and took the match-deciding three-set decision on the No. 6 court.
Southeastern will continue its road swing at Jackson State on Friday, February 15 at 1 p.m. in Jackson, Mississippi.
