Fayetteville, Ark. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's cross country team will send five to the NCAA South Central Regionals Friday morning at Agri Park on the campus of the University of Arkansas at 12 p.m.
                                                
SLU's Zach Barthel, Anthony Cordero, Adam Cortez, Shey Foster and Thom Reynders will compete in the 10k which includes 29 teams (10 from the Southland Conference). The top two finishing teams will advance to the National Championships Saturday, Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
 
The Lions are led by junior Anthony Cordero. The El Paso, Texas native has finished in the top 10 four times this year including eighth at the Southland Conference Championships.
 
Southeastern's Adam Cortez has also had a terrific season. The junior, also from El Paso, has three top 10 finishes to his resume.

"The guys are excited about it," said SLU distance running coach Rocky Capello. "We actually ran pretty well at the conference championships even though we didn't finish as high as we wanted to. We had as good of an average time as the school has had in a long time. So we're looking forward to the opportunity tomorrow."
