CLINTON, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana cross country team will race in the Mississippi College Invitational Saturday at Choctaw Trails in the final tune up before the Southland Conference Championships.

The women's team will run a 6K race at 8:30 a.m. The Lady Lions will have seven competing including
Breanna Bernard,
Sophie Daigle,
Lindsey Hutcheson,
Tara Stuntz, Bernadette Tournoux,
Belle Vignes and
Blair Vignes.
Â
The men's race will begin at approximately 9:45 a.m. with seven running for the Lions; Â
Zach Barthel,
Reed Callegan,
Anthony Cordero,
Adam Cortez,
Frank Durio, Shea Foster and
Thom Reynders.
Â
Daigle leads the way for the Lady Lions. The junior has finished in the top six in all three events. The Donaldsonville, Louisiana native finished fifth in the season opening meet at McNeese, sixth at the Rice Invitational and third at LSU.

On the men's side,
Anthony Cordero has been in the front of the pack. The junior from El Paso, Texas finished sixth at Rice and McNeese and place seventh at LSU.

Following Saturday's race, SLU will have three weeks to prepare for the conference championships Friday, Nov. 1 in Conway Arkansas.
