HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana's
Grant O'Callaghan was named Southland Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The junior won his second race of the season Saturday at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. The field included 22 teams and 162 runners.
The Flowery Branch, Georgia native has finished in the top ten in all four races for the Lions this season.
After winning the season opening race at McNeese, O'Callaghan finished second at LSU, eighth at Texas A&M and blew away the field Saturday at Mississippi College.
SLU will be back in action Friday, Oct. 26 at the Southland Conference Championship in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
