HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana returns to action Tuesday, hosting South Alabama at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
The Lions (18-10) have a pair of wins over South Alabama (16-12) already this season, winning, 4-3, March 3 at the Cox Diamond Invitational in Pensacola, Florida, and, 12-4, March 14 in Mobile, Alabama.
 
Tuesday's game features a Cane's Challenge. If the Lions score four runs or more, fans can redeem their game ticket and student coupon at their local participating Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers for a free combo with the purchase of another of equal or greater value by the end of business on Wednesday.

Southeastern is coming off an exciting, 5-4, walk-off win over Southland Conference rival McNeese on Saturday.
 
Taylor Schwaner (.390), 
Drew Avans (.310) and 
Carson Crites (.291) lead Southeastern at the plate. Schwaner has hit a team-best seven home runs. His Southland Conference-leading 39 RBIs rank fifth nationally. 
Derrick Mount is fifth in the nation with six sacrifice flies. Avans has a team-high 10 stolen bases.
 
The Lions are hitting .242 as a team, with 39 doubles, 12 triples, 23 home runs and rank 12th nationally with 50 stolen bases. Southeastern's pitching staff enters the series with a 3.97 ERA, having fanned 210 batters through 251.1 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .247 off Lion pitching.
 
Southeastern will send senior right-hander 
Derrick Mount (0-0, 2.84) to the mound opposite South Alabama freshman left-hander Andy Arguelles (2-1, 5.09).
Travis Swaggerty (.385), Dylan Hardy (.359) and Brendan Donovan (.338) lead the Jaguars at the plate. Eddie Paparella has clubbed a team-high five home runs and is tied with Swaggerty for the team lead in RBIs (27). Swaggerty has a team-best 12 stolen bases.
 
South Alabama is hitting .295 as a team, with 48 doubles, five triples, 29 home runs and 34 stolen bases. The Jaguar pitching staff has compiled a 4.41 ERA, striking out 232 batters in 239 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting .266 off Jaguar pitching.
 
General Admission tickets for single home games are $9 for adults and $6 for children (ages 3-12). Tax is included in the price of admission. Southeastern students are admitted free with a valid university ID card.
